Jean Duvall-Carmichael is a former banker and current marketing contractor with Skipper & Skipper. “Jeannie” retired from banking, then a couple of years ago, she agreed to put her time and banking associations to the test by marketing for the firm. Jeannie loves boating, family life (including her adored granddaughter) and re-connecting with the professionals whom she served during her many years in the Pasco County banking community.
It’s difficult to catch up with Jeannie, but if you’d like to find out more about the firm, she can be reached at: Jeannie@skiplaw.org
Sandra L. “Sandy” Delancey has lived in the Pasco area since 1972, and has been a permanent part-time contractor with Skipper & Skipper since 1999. Sandy has been married for more than 45 years. She has a diverse background in the law and elsewhere, which allows her to fill in wherever and take charge as needed.
Sandy is a licensed real estate broker and owner of D-Land-C Real Estate, holds a cosmetology license, and she is one of the first females in Florida to obtain, and still maintains, a Florida State Residential Building Contractor’s license.
At S&S, Sandy fills many roles, but mostly serves in the probate administration division with Jamey. She became a Florida Registered Paralegal in the Summer of 2008, and can be reached at: Sandy@skiplaw.org
Sherry L. Joiner has lived in Pasco County most of her life and is a graduate of Gulf High School. She is the youngest of five children and, until joining Skipper & Skipper, planned to continue the family business. Since October of 2000, her experiences of formerly being self-employed have been invaluable to Sherry as she organizes the day-to-day functions of a busy law firm. In addition to being the “organizer”, she drafts estate planning and real estate documents.
Sherry has been married for more than twenty-five years to the love of her life, and they have two children. Her son, who holds a college degree as a diesel mechanic, is employed with the school system; and Sherry’s daughter, who recently married, is currently employed with Pasco County, also. The entire family loves the outdoors, hunting, four wheeling and competition fishing. When not engaged in those outdoor activities, Sherry somehow finds time to be an accomplished seamstress, as well.
Sherry became a Florida Registered Paralegal in the Summer of 2008, and she can be reached at: Sherry@skiplaw.org
Debra “Debi” Marks joined the Skipper & Skipper team in the summer of 2016. She brings with her more than a decade of various legal experiences, but the focus of her prior work was in personal injury law. She provides the firm with additional expertise to assist our clients who have settlement monies to consider and/or beneficiaries with special needs or disabilities.
Debi is an artist craftsperson who makes beautiful things for indoors, but is an outdoors person when spending quality time with her husband and daughters. She and her husband are excellent cooks, and they enjoy creating dining masterpieces in the kitchen and over the outdoor open fire.
Currently, Debi is back-up to Sherry, drafting estate planning documents, while at the same time applying her wide-range of legal experiences as she learns probate and trust administration with Jamey, who heads that division. Debi Marks can be reached at: Debra@skiplaw.org
Daphaine McLean is one of the contractor specialists at Skipper & Skipper, having taken an early retirement from the health insurance field years ago. In 2012, Daph offered her contractor services to the firm, where she is one of three retired - but not ready to stay home - persons associated with S&S. Family is a huge priority with her, as it should be. Daph is intimately involved with the lives of her married, but local, daughters and grandchildren. Her son recently received a Bachelors degree in music engineering and arrangement. The shining star in Daph’s life is her gorgeous and exciting mother, who divides time between her native Cayman Islands and the US, and among her daughters (who include Daph and her two sisters).
It’s hard to describe all the S&S tasks assumed by Daphaine McLean because they are not set. She steps in where needed, and those change almost daily. If you’d like to reach her, then email to: Daphaine@skiplaw.org
Jamey Osborne has been a resident of Florida for more than thirty years and has served the legal community nearly all of that time. She has an Associates of Science degree in Business Administration from St. Petersburg College, and extensive experience in business law and taxation. She joined Skipper & Skipper in 2003, putting her education and those experiences to the test as she manages the firm and heads the probate and trust administration division.
Although she loves her work, music and dancing, her main interests are her family and travel. Her daughter, like mother, values a formal education, and holds a double major Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida. Jamey’s mother retired as a Tampa Bay real estate agent after more than 25 years - specializing in property located in Pasco County. Jamey’s mom is her good friend and frequent travel partner as they visit or cruise Alaska, Europe, and beyond. Jamey became a Florida Registered Paralegal in the Summer of 2008, and she can be reached at: Jamey@skiplaw.org
Stephen B. Skipper is a sixth generation Floridian who has worked at his parents’ law firm since high school. His interests include history, geography, political science, and exotic cars. In high school, Stephen was a Page for State Senator Mike Fasano, and in undergraduate school participated in studies abroad. While at college, Stephen was a summer intern for Congressman Gus Bilirakis. He changed his major from Business to Government and World Affairs, in which he received a Bachelors degree from the University of Tampa in 2016. You’ll probably be seeing more of Stephen on the political scene after he completes his education.
Currently, Stephen works for Skipper & Skipper, P.A. remotely from Naples, Florida, where he attends Ave Maria School of Law on scholarship. Until he becomes a member of The Florida Bar, Stephen will continue as a technology assistant, business and customer service representative for the firm, and can be reached at: Skipper@skiplaw.org
